If your urine is dark yellow that shows that you are dehydrated and need to be drinking about 64 ounces of water each day. Ideally it should be a very pale yellow. Drinking soft drinks or energy drinks do not count towards the amount of water you need.

Normal urine is light yellow in color. Clear means a guy is over-hydrated. Deep yellow means a guy is dehydrated. Or, like in the morning, you have not peed recently.

Your urine should be a very light yellow to clear. This shows you have proper hydration.

Nearly clear or very light yellow, but your urine doesn't tell the story of your body's health.

Clear to light yellow for the most part, a little darker if you happen to be a bit dehydrated.
