What are some ways to address these characters?

I'm working on a story where a few characters meet their alternative selves from another dimension and I'm having trouble with writing them when they're in the same scene. I'd write "the other boy" or "the other *insert name*" and I feel that calling them that is getting repetitive in the chapter I'm working on. What are some other ways to address them when they're in the same scenes? Please and thank you for answering!

Well, writing around proper nouns might be the way to go. Have them establish a naming code pretty quickly on (if it were me, I would switch to my middle name... or any of my online aliases... or character's names I kind of like...) and make sure the reader gets that Jim and Jamie were both originally named James but they fixed that to avoid headaches.

"2nd time line person" or "Time destorted person" or "Negative reality inversion person" or "Cloned person"
