Why do girls layer their tights, ie; wear more than one pair at once?

No one I know layers their tights. They can wear tights with leg warmers or thigh socks

I've done this before because they can be see through and also to get the right shape you want and also in the colder times of the year to stay warm

I've done this before too. Sometimes they can be see through or they are just too thin so we layer them up to be warmer :)

I've done this to get an opaque look.  I've also done this in winter months when it's extra cold outside.

most wear one but sometimes in the winter will wear 2 because they are cold
