Windows offers e a free upgrade from 8.1 to 10. Should I take it?
I loved XP, liked 7, and tolerate 8 now I've learnt how to open to a semi-reasonable desktop. I use my computer for wordprocessing, blogging (including images but not video or sound), and the usual on-line stuff (not much downloading of large files).
The one thing I like about 8 is its built-in Search facility, rendering Copernic unnecessary.
I will want to carry on using my existing MS Office (2007) and Naturallyspeaking voice recognition (12).

You will like W10 as t is more like W7 with the reintroduction of the START & APPS Menu

Windows 10 is precisely the combination of W7 and W8.1. It is faster than the other windows software and has better graphic options. If you are a gamer u will love the update. I have a 2 gb ram and a low graphic card but the games that did not run in W8.1 for me run very well in 10.
There are many new things added to windows 10 too. Microsoft edge, the updated explorer is very fast and user friendly. The best thing about it is that if you add any website to your reading list, you can open the page anywhere even without internet!
Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade to windows 10.

Yes, but I don't think you have much of a choice, anyway- W8 will be executed in the future.
