What is the opposite of "proportional" as far as fonts are concerned?
I mean the font which has "l" and "w" of the same width. For example "Courier" in Windows. Thanks in andvance!

I am not sure, but the information could be from SDK manual for Widows 3.0 - fixed-pitch font Courier is mentioned there.
