How do I lose a tooth that isn't loose?

I have one more tooth to lose. I'm going to the ortho in September to get braces and they said I either need to lose that tooth before appointment or they will pull it. They said it's ready to come out and that the tooth is right behind . I go to a really good ortho but I'm not sure if I want them to pull it for me. Also I heard it can be bad for your gums to pull it if it isn't truly ready. What should I do?

As long as you are going to a professional getting that tooth removed shouldnt be a big deal

Ive had teeth extracted at least twice and can tell you it sucks at first, but then the area heals and soon its like nothing happened except for seeing the gap where the tooth was

You are really worrying over nothing and if its not loose have a dentist extract it

Before you get braces the area will be healed and you will feel silly for having worried so much
