Is my mom wrong for feeling this way?

I'm 20 yrs old. The other day I grabbed a job application for a sex store. I decided to ask my mom how she would feel about me working at a sex shop & surprisingly she got mad. She told me "the day you work at a sex shop is the day you get kicked out of the house. What am I supposed to tell family members when they ask where u work?" I was in complete shock because my mom is usually the cool young mom who I can be very open with. Does she have a point or is she wrong? I mean its a job isn't it!?

    It is a job and I did not want my son to work at an adult shop either.. Work is work until you can find something else.
