Big Manny fan here, but I think Pernell in his absolute best was simply untouchable. In hindsight, Pac throws punches in bunches and would rain them all on Sweet Pea. It'd be foolish to think Whitaker can dodge them all. It would surprise Pernell who in turn would surprise Manny a lot more. Manny aint seen a lefty this good. He'll get bewildered.
The fight:
Manny connects two punches in 10-15 he threw at Whitaker. He gets frustrated. The first three rounds were like that. But Manny sweeps the first three rounds. By round 4 -6, Sweet Pea has fully understood what Manny brings on the table. He has fully adjusted. Manny now is wildly missing. The same scenario continues up the latter rounds. I bet it's a 12 round fight but it aint a problem for both warriors. Round 10 -11, Pea was countering Manny at will. Manny doesnt like it but he has nothing whatsoever to Pernell's superb defense. Both fighters hear the final bell.
Final verdict:
Pernell wins via unquestionable decision.

Pernell just a bit over Manny as far as talent, wins 8 or 7 rounds en route to a UD.

Whitaker Pacqs got the volume to trouble him
a bit but footwork no he has fast feet but not balanced enough to keep up that whitaker head movement and pacqs worst enemy counterpunching will be the big diffrence.
Ps. Yal thought Floyd cliched him to much whitaker will jack johnson on the inside all night.
