Need some help on a ballet move, please.?

So last night was my 3rd ballet class in which I was the only person who showed up. So instead of doing our normal thing, she asked if there was anything I wanted to try. Well, there is one thing that I have been wanting to tackle and we went over the mechanics of the step, and I tried it a few times. I had watched a youtube video in the past so I had the basic gist of what to do, but she broke it down even more....what was the move? Italian Fouettes. And guess what, I was able to get very close a few times and I did do one that I would consider "clean". My biggest problem is brushing the leg through First and turning into the back attitude. Since that isn't something that I have done in class it's not easy. Besides the obvious, "keep practicing" and just plain old "repetition"; does anyone have any suggestions for me that could make that part of the step easier? Italian Fouettes in case you are familiar with them, look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtrgKD6bg8g

Rather than give you a long answer I am going to give you a link that you might find helpful. Not actually seeing what you are doing makes it difficult to help. The first part of the link goes over working on good preparation at the barre and I think you will find that helpful starting there before when you bring it to the center. http://www.dancespirit.com/how-to/ballet/perfect_y...

plie when you are brushing through first, and use the momentum from the plie to twist into the back attitude! it is all about balance, strength, and momentum! Good luck!
