People who only have a little knowledge about a subject tend to assume things about the rest and they are often wrong. Those people also rely too much on what they have heard rather than what they have researched or studied themselves. For example, if someone googles a topic and relies on the information in only the first link they choose, that may be a biased source.

How much is a little? Too little to understand a subject properly.

You can know little and still be smart, if you show some respect to the people who research these things for a living, and just don't try to pass facts about something you've only read about through a link on Facebook, for example.

This made it practically impossible for European nations to govern those countries and to retain their colonies in the long term.

This led to rapid decolonisation of those countries throughout the 1950's and 1960's, and the loss of European prestige with America's rapid rise as the world's preeminent superpower.

Obviously, such information given to the Natives in Africa and Asia was dangerous to the major powers in Europe at this time, and some have argued that the decline of European power might have been avoided by preventing the spread of such knowledge.

However, much of Europe was devastated and economically ruined by WWII, and dependant on America's economic aid in to rebuild those countries.

America's interest would be to increase its political influence at the expense of its European competitors during this crucial period. So it's more than likely that America would be instrumental to disseminating such information, but European countries would be practically helpless to stop it.

Although sparse and elementary knowledge, it gave rise to ethnic nationalism in Africa and Asia - which was indoctrination that could not be prevented by European powers weakened by WWII - that ultimately led to the destruction of Western colonial empires in those countries.

All those countries did invade Germany. This is why we need a powerful Germany again!
