Might sound stupid, but am I obsessive compulsive?

Hi. Let's start from the beginning here. I loved primarily with my OCD mother. I always knew she was a little clean but I saw it as normal for the most part and when she told me what it was when I was about 10 I thought it meant she was clean. After moving in with my stepdad and spending more time with my real dad I realized we were different. I picked up some of her cleaning compulsions like bleaching everything chicken touched, washing hands after money, and if I'm wet at all not touching anything battery powered or new in fear of infection. However I have some other tendencies I've had for a long time. I have to get both hands wet if one is, I have to be balanced, I have to put more bracelets on my non dominate hand to feel balenced, and I panic sevirly if someone breaks a ritual I have or someone becomes "contaminated" with food or lead or money ec. And tries to touch me. It's led to a lot of embarrassment and explaining but I feel guilt if I say I'm obsessive compulsive because it's not the same as my mothers. Do you think I have it? Also can it be genetic? Please help. Thank you.

Hey! I've never met another OCD person who also needs more bracelets on the nondominant side. It does very much sound like you have OCD. I've had it all my life and if you are kind of just noticing your compulsions, try to stop before it gets worse. See a doctor while you can. It can be life consuming

OCD might be genetic and it does not always present in obsessive cleaning. My sisters have OCD with glasses and how people wear them but one of my sisters in horrible at keeping a clean home. You could have OCD, but it would be better if a trained rofessional were to make that decision than me
