Question about stretch and sweep - labour. (Midwife)?
I'm 40weeks + 3 days pregnant and went for my stretch and sweep today. Just wondered if any of you knew what my notes meant.
Cx Central, soft, partly effaced, admits fingertip.
She said I'm favourable to give birth very soon. As soon as she took her fingers out, lots of blood came out, which she said was my bloody show and that that's a good sign.
Also how long did it take you to go in to labour or start feeling any contractions after your stretch and sweep?

My sweep took 2 goes and had my bloody show and about 2 days later labour started. I. Was not favourable to give birth anytime soon so no matter what they say baby will come when it's ready. Keep on your feet and climb those stairs. It all helps. X
