What is the airplane shown in the SCI (1989) movie "Slipstream". It's an unusual ducted fan, twin boom rudder, perhaps a sport aircraft?

Update:

Also - has a big plexiglass surround (like a Bell helicopter ) around the cockpit, 2 seater.

It is an EA-7 Optica. It was made by a British Company called Edgley.

While you don't give us a picture and I have not seen the film, what you are talking about sounds like an Edgley Optica,
