Is it weird for a 26 year old woman to be friends with a 16 year old woman?

Why would that be weird? More women power for getting along despite age differences. Don't let society tell you who you should hang out with or become friends with. I work in a place with all walks of age with women and men are and i get along with almost most of the women i talk to. It's called workmanship and respect. Some of them even call me a friend despite age differences. If you're talking on a personal level, then yes, it's possible. Treat her like a sister and you ladies would be fine.

Of course there are other people in the room but you don’t want their attention, you want hers. If you have an attractive waitress, only look her way briefly when giving your order. You don’t want to be rude to whoever is serving your food, but don’t engage her or acknowledge her beyond what’s necessary. Women pay attention to these things and will appreciate that you don’t have a wandering eye. If you must leave your date’s side for a moment, give her a peck on the cheek before you leave.
