I have a protective order against my stepdad and he keeps commenting on my Facebook statuses, is that violation of the protective order?

    Only of the protective order prevents him from doing that. You would need to check what the order says. If it does not, you have the option of having the order updated to include Facebook and other sites.

    It can be, depends on the order. Ask the police in your area, they have a non 911 number.
