When a suicidal thought becomes a daily reocurrance, you become free. A man who is set on killing himself is not afraid to take risks.?

I have suicidal thoughts on a daily basis, and it doesn't feel free to me, my family, friends and boyfriend are the only reasons I haven't acted on my thoughts cos I don't want to devastate them. So I disagree with you about the feeling free bit, but you're right about not being afraid to take risks. A girl from my old school committed suicide last year (that is NOT why I'm suicidal, I feel this way because I get constantly rejected for jobs and am still jobless and am grieving over the death of loved ones) and she certainly didn't feel free. She had mental health problems and have never gotten over the death of her dad.

No sucide is usually due to a fear of all things and it's a prison. So the person thinks finally gaining control must be through killing themselves but this actually taking away all physical freedom and ability. If you mean take risks as in doing dangerous thrill seeking I still don't think so because the idea is to become skilled enough to not die when thrill seeking. A confident person who isn't afraid of dying but afraid of dying before they do something meaningful in life is the one who will and can take calculated risks that ultimately succeed in fulfilling life.

And why is taking risks a desirable thing?
Have lost your fear of death? You have become the ultimate brave man?
I'm don't think that apathy about dying is such a good idea.
Apathy about death is apathy about life, too.

well, with your kind permission, it sounds to me additional questions are to be asked in real life....
and it clearly sounds to me that whoever is it about urgently is probably depressed and / or traumatised or so deeply and severely enough to urgently! need the professional help of a psychiatrist , in real life , in his/ her area, with no further delay....
just because one is not afraid to take probably life- threatening risks DOESN'T make the very idea of one's killing oneself more humanly acceptable....
