Why does it seem most offices/ Dr's offices have soft music playing? Is soft rock music good to listen to?

    It's better than hearing people breathing. Soft music has a proven calming effect also , which helps when you have been waiting over a hour.

    Soft Rock is the most acceptable style of music that most people don't mind hearing.

    Because heavy metal scares the patients and reggae music only encourages them to ask for narcotics.
