Why does my cat use the corner of the litter box?

Let start off with that I have been a cat owner for many years and have often answered questions here about cat behavior. I have always wondered though why she only uses the corner of the box when she has a whole huge box to go in, is it a comfort thing?? It is really hard to clean out when it's in the corner too.

Its a safety thing probably. She feels safest when she pees in the corner, because of how her body is positioned.

LOL! I want to know the answer to this as well. Both of mine love the sides of the box.

The box could be too small for her and that's just how she's able to fit.

Get rid of the box and get this one. No corners so MUCH easier to clean. High sides and a cover so the litter doesn't get tossed out as they dig in it, either. I have this one in pink http://amzn.to/2kokMJK I got it because one of my older cats would stand too close to the edge and pee right over it. Now she pees in the pan and NO mess!

It’s because he usually goes over there so it’s like a set spot
