What will happen when U.S. population goes from 350 million (today) to over 1 Billion?

Today, the U.S. is doubling in population about every 50 years roughly, and this has been true for the past 200 years.  We are around 350 million today, and will be 700 million around 2070.  These numbers didn't matter much in later 1800s because doubling it only meant going from 33M to 70M, etc.  Thats nothing compared to going from 500M to 1 Billion, and 1 Billion to 2 Billion, which is going to happen someday.

Today CA crops have sucked up all the water especially that past 20 years as it grew to meet demand, even the colorado river is substantially lower already.  None of us will be around to see that day, but I'm wondering what will happen when this gets here, because there really isn't enough crops or water to handle that type of growth when it gets to that level, especially now that doubling in size is so much larger then what it was in the past 200 years.

Have faith. The Lord has said that the earth is full and there is enough and to spare if we obey Him. The earth will be changed when the Millennium arrives and Christ again reigns on the earth. We will learn to use our resources more efficiently and those resources will increase to meet the needs of the people when the earth is changed back to an
Eden like state. Many will suffer before this comes but it will come.

Well, then you will be jammed together like us in the UK. Tiny houses will cost a fortune. All of your larger wild animals will be wiped out or be in reserves. Nature always has to give way to us humans.

Even at a billion, I do not think you will be as crowded as our little island.
