    I'd go to Dublin.

Chances are in Edinburgh you are not going to get the visa, as you never get anything there, and they are so backwards/slow with everything. They might just cause you trouble, so I'd try Dublin.

I applied for my citizenship in Edinburgh and it was rejected, plus it was the slowest place ever, they also caused me so much trouble with the law. I'd avoid it. They just give you one reason or another to cause you trouble.

You can't even get a driving lesson there. So many crazy people in high places that obstacle you for no reason. And that area is really a bad area.

I also passed my medicine admission test there and Idk what for. It's not a good place to get positive answers/things done.

Even yesterday I sent some documents there, the first thing I hear is not what I have to hear, but something like a negative response instead of a positive response, something like "It might be refused". I just don't get what does that mean. They just waste your time and get nothing done.

In some places they lose paperwork, reject it, never give it, they don't handle your data by law, they give your data to others, etc.

You can't get a lawyer to sort things out for you either, they get blackmailed. What does that mean getting blackmailed?

Or you get the drug addict offering you a room and that is really scary.

Edinburgh has all the mafia/terrorism in the world concentrated there. You get nothing done, no way forward. Also trying to argue with the drug addict at a public office is just a waste of breath and time as it leads absolutely nowhere.

England is getting like that, some parts are already like that, but London is a bit better, as my former boss got his Chinese Visa there.

Just get the flight to London and go there at the consulate and get it. There are cheap early flights from NI, and you don't have to show documents you just walk out of the airport because it's a domestic flight. Plus at least you have some safe place to stay.

I'm sure if you are first at the consulate, you can manage to get out by early afternoon and then catch your flight back with your visa already in your hand, as that's what it used to be like, I guess now it should be all quicker, with computers and all.

Give us an idea of which part of the world you are asking about! Preferably the name of the city in which you hope there is a Chinese consulate.

However, they are not currently processing visa applications at this time.

Do you want the address for the one in Perth, Australia, the one in Johannesburg, South Africa, or the one in Munich, Germany? It does make a difference.

I believe you have to work via a paid service in the United States for China. Ever heard of google?

There are several in the US, if that's where you are. Washington, D.C., New York, NY; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX.

In different places, depending on the city. Why didn't you just google it for your city?
