How to take birth control ?

Help I’m a little confused . I agreed with my doctor to take birth control . She said I could either start Sunday or during my period. I started my period today . So I take the pill starting with the Sunday pill or do I take the Friday pill , since Friday is when I started my period ? Please help

    Take Friday pill to day asap, you will be protected from to-day.
