Would you buy one of the smaller, earlier 911s if they remade them?
They've gotten too large and too super-car like. I prefer the simple, early ones.
I mean if they did another production run.
The 718 isn't the same, I'm talking about a narrow, modern designed car with modern safety standards but similar dimensions as the original. The nearly vertical windshield is nice.

No. The rear engine design is inherently unstable. The 356 and early 911s were famous for spinning out on corners. If you think the 911 has gotten too big, get a Boxster or Cayman. Their mid-engine design make them incredibly stable and they are still affordable.

Yes... The smaller ones were cooler in some ways but back in the day cars were also smaller (at least in Europe where Porsche comes from) so in terms of size, they are still in proportion. Look at the Mini or Corolla for example.

No, and they won’t as those cars no longer meet modern safety, noise and emissions standards, and their performance no longer beats many modern and relatively ordinary cars.
Porsche already has an entry-level model: the Boxster, and it even handles vastly better than their rear-engined models due to its mid-engine layout. From the B-pillar forwards the original Boxster 986 (and the 987) were pretty much identical to the equivalent 911 of that era.

No. I would not.

HI so now as the Porsche is part of the much larger A.G. Group it is even more unlikely to happen.
