The Wii probably came with composite video and analog stereo audio outputs; those are the yellow, red, and white RCA cables.

It's conceivable that you would benefit from a Wii-to-HDMI adapter, though, and they're not hard to find.

Most mid- and high-end TVs are now Ultra HD resolution, with many also supporting HDR. Not surprisingly, cable manufacturers are jumping at the chance to sell new and more expensive "4K" HDMI cables. But guess what -- you probably don't need 4K HDMI cables, because your current ones can likely do 4K just fine.

Use the TV remote to match up the input connection used for it.

You will likely need to check your input list for "AV / Composite" option if you're using the standard (3-plug) A/V cable.

If you have the component (5-plug) cables (1st or 3rd party), you may have to select "Component" from the input list instead. HOWEVER, you would be able to select the 480p option in the Wii Settings (instead of the 480i default).

Since RF adapters have been discontinued starting with the Wii (The Gamecube was the last to utilize them), there's NO CHANNEL you would set on your TV... Some HDTV's may not allow you to utilize analog channels (like 3.0 or 4.0) as a cost-cutting measure.
