Time travel. Solution?

I time travel to the past, say a few hundred years. I have a kid with her. I come back to my time.

Would this "union" change my genealogy, or my DNA?

(question for the writing of a story)

Update:

Probably will be a paradox, but are paradoxes possible? (kill my father before I was born, hence could not kill my father... etc...

    You're writing fiction.

Futurama had an episode on this. Fry is his own grandfather.

    That depends on the physics.

I can think of only two plausible scenarios.

    1) rewind time in "real time"

The way it would work is like an explosion.

Everything that the shock-wave touches reverses its physical interaction with space time itself.

So time still moves forward but the objects inside the shock-wave move backwards.

To stop this, someone would need to set off another shock-wave to cancel the effect.

The time travel would be inside a special vehicle that is immune to the shock-wave.

The time traveler has to experience all the time it takes to ggo from the present moment to the past moment.

    No teleportation.

This way you can go back in time, kill your parents, and still be alive.

    solution 2) a fourth dimension.

Our future and past exist at the same time, all the time. Like a VHS tape

I dont like this scenario and think its lame.

Because our reality would be like a crystal in the fourth dimension.

And a fourth dimensional being would lift an atom in the front of the crystal

and put it in the back.

This scenario= no free will=nothing changes, EVER without will of the 4th-D being

    so lame.

It also depends if the crystal is "frozen" or "thawed"

if its frozen then every action=/an equal and opposite reaction. It would mean that things can pop into existance

out of nowhere like an edited video.

But a "thawed" crystal has movement.

So if you go into the past and kill your parents then you might not die in the first wave of motion, but maybe on the second.

Depending on how one wave feeds into the next wave.
