Yahoo Answers is shutting down on 4 May 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.
Why do some posts seem to not accept answers (from me at least)?
Why do some posts seem to not accept answers (from me at least)? If I click on the post, there's no space to write my answer; if I just try to post from the "add your answer" it claims there are technical issues and to try again later (it's not "this topic is under review"). Other people are able to answer in the meantime, and I am able to answer other questions.
I can't imagine I've been blocked by -all- of these people (while I admit to a bit of snark once in a while, I've never been abusive)(and anyway, many of them I've never replied to before).
Thank you for your assistance.
It does not say "Privacy Violation" in red letters underneath the answer box; it says "We are experiencing some problems, please try again."

You have been blocked. People use multiple accounts on here, so it's most probably a few people who seem to block anyone they disagree with.

You're an ambulance chaser and probably a desperate criminal too.

If there's no space for your answer, you've been blocked by that asker.
If the asker is Anonymous but your answer won't post, you've been blocked by that asker.
If the asker isn't anonymous, and there is a space, and you still can't post an answer, it's a glitch, and will eventually resolve itself though it can be frustrating while you wait.

Usually, you are blocked as everyone else has mentioned already. If the person asks the question using their Yahoo Avatar you will not see an answer box. If the person is asking anonymously you will see the answer box but get an error message when you try to submit.
I also never seen this Privacy Violation before. That is something new to me.

Because the user has blocked you as have their multiple accounts.

Yet another unfortunate technical issue with the site. Sometimes if you refresh it will correct its self, but not always. Thankfully it doesn't seem to happen too much.
