I am planning a trip to Vancouver, BC this summer. What are some of the best/cheapest things to do there?

I am looking more for hidden jems instead of tourist traps.

Pacific Spirit park, the walking trails. Its trees are huge--and I live where there's forests--and the stillness is awesome. The area's pretty level, so it's not physically challenging, unless distance is your thing.

Third Beach. And it's "gems", not "jems". You're welcome.

I haven't been there by hikes are always the best and cheapest thing to do anywhere just make sure you have the proper day hike gear.

Cheap Harbour tour is a Seabus ride.

Capilano Canyon. NOT the suspension bridge (expensive!), but, above it a few hundred meters, where the fish hatchery is. Great trails, huge trees (and, I mean HUGE), and all free.
