Why isn't there an option to delet your profile picture? Or why can't I get my yahoo avatar back?

Yahoo employees never coded the computer programs for a delete option or were laid off by Yahoo between 2012 and 2014, or Verizon is not employing people to code new computer programs is probably why.

2 possible solutions is to take a screenshot of the generic YA avatar or a white wall or surface and save it as an image file, but not in .GIF image format. Then go to your Yahoo profile, NOT your YA activity profile, and change your avatar. Anyone telling you to edit your avatar in your YA activity profile is giving you outdated information that has not worked for 5 or more years.

Huglet is correct. The Yahoo avatar maker was discontinued by Yahoo in 2013 because there were other avatar makers online by that time, unlike in 2006 when YA became available to the general public. I DID save 2 of my Yahoo avatars on my PC's hard drive but the pixel resolution is low. I no longer have an internet connection. The network card is fried. It's time to replace that PC and update my cellphone.

You can change it, but not delete it entirely.

Yahoo help numbers are scams. So are the thumbs downs to good answers.

I don't think yahoo avatars exist anymore. So unless you happened to save yours, it's probably gone forever.
