Building/construction question...?

In terms of cost comparison, could any of you building pros out there help give me an idea about this :

Does a concrete piling foundation usually cost more/less/or about the same as a concrete slab foundation?...

Thanks for taking the time!

In general all piling foundations costs more than a simple slab. They require some time of extra equipment to drive the piling so the cost is more than just material and labor. Also most of the time the pilings are topped with a concrete slab so you have to pay for both.

Where the pilings are used to support piers for a wood or structural flooring you still have the cost of the floor structure to add to the piling costs.
