I'm travelling within Germany with brother (& Switz & Austria) so have about 5-6 journeys from Munich>Frankfurt so what is the cheapest way?

There's also https://www.busliniensuche.de/ - they will also list ridesharing offers, and will show train ticket prices below most other offers, including bahn.de.

On the other hand, why would you travel that often - stay in Munich, it's much nicer anyways :p

It's possible to get a cover-all ticket like a Eurail ticket, but for, say, just three countries. Ask a travel agent.

The train is cheap. Check the fares on German Rail.

    Hitch-hiking

next in line flixbus and trains. For trains, use the schönes-wochenende-ticket (saturdays and sundays) or quer-durchs-land-ticket (weekdays), but also check www.bahn.de as they sometimes have even cheaper offers (where you will have to take specific trains instead of any "slow" ones)

A speed train. Very few stops along the way.

    Peace.
