Who is more upscale between Chevrolet or GMC?

GMC was always just a bit upscale from Chevy - years back they had unique engines, better trim, more chrome standard, etc. They got more-and-more alike as time went by - - but, if you notice the new tv commercials, Chevy is pushing their power up/down tailgate. . . . . while GMC is touting their :"exclusive" 6-way power tailgate that becomes steps, etc., etc. So GMC is still more posh.

I thought Chevy and GMC were the same group as like Holden , Buick, Opel , Vauxhall etc are

GMC goes for the heavy hitters, the vehicles with big traction, giant truck tires. Chevrolet is more compact and in the case of the Malibu, sleek. The upscale belongs to Chevrolet, an American icon for decades, while the parent company GMC is upscale more in size than style.

Other than the badges, they are the same.
