I tried taking out a loan for my brother's cancer treatment but was denied My brother died because they denied me. If only they advised me I would have paid them back.

You can sue but you will not win...

You can sue even if you don't. The question is if you will win or loose.

It's not about whether or not you can sue, it's about whether or not you can win. No, you cannot win. No, you do not have a strong case. You deposited a bad check. That's on you, not the bank. The bank denied you for a loan because you deposited a bad check and you did not repay them money you owed them. This is also on you, not the bank.

I'm sorry about your circumstances, but you do not have even a weak case. The bank is not responsible that your brother couldn't get money to pay for his treatment. You owed the bank money. The bank doesn't loan additional money to people who owe them money and are not paying it back. That's the nature of a bank. There is nothing to sue them for.

I'm sure they told you that you owed them the money from the cashed check. They were very kind to allow you to pay it back over time instead of demanding it all at once. Obviously you didn't pay them.

Can you sue? Sure, if you find an attorney willing to take that case which has no merit whatsoever. Do you have a strong case? No, absolutely not. Read the other answers which explain why you do not

First off, you are asking for legal advice. You are not going to get that here. Only a licensed lawyer can give you legal advice. Sure you can sue. You have no case whatsoever. You accepted a check from someone so you got ripped off. You cannot blame it on the bank. They do not owe you anything. You did not deposit the money - real money into your bank account so how is that their fault? The bank did not and could not have turned that into a loan. What they did was allow you to repay your debt in installments. It became a debt because you overdrew your account and failed to deposit the money you owed the bank. Your brother did not die because the bank denied you a loan. Your brother died because he had cancer and the cancer killed him. You could not get a loan because you did not qualify - because 1) your bad credit with the bank 2) your bad debt with the bank 3) your lack of income/ability to repay the loan. You WERE advised. You chose to ignore it. People with bank accounts receive monthly statements. Yours was in the negatives. You are not only blind but you are stupid. There is a cure for stupid. Start taking responsibility for your own actions.

Sue for what? They did nothing wrong. You have no case. Very sorry your brother died, but that's not the bank's fault. You got scammed, and withdrew money that you didn't have, so you owed them that money back. They allowed you to pay them in installments, but were not going to loan you any money unless you qualified, and you didn't

There's a lot about your post that makes no sense and is missing information.

If you do sue, make sure you have a contingency lawyer or don't pursue it at all.

No*, and no. *Technically anyone can sue about anything.
