Is it better to have a discreet dash cam?

    No. An obvious rear-facing camera has gotten a number of tailgaters off my butt. As far as the forward facing, that can be discrete. Most drivers won't see the forward facing until the moment of impact.

    Discreet dash cam is much better.. who really wants to look at cheesy accessories on their dash, not to mention it's a target for people to bust your window to steal.
