I am a almost 28 year old single American woman traveling to Glasgow ?

I'm going by myself I'll be there for 2 months. I really want the locals to like me, any tips?

    Accept & don't criticize their culture/accents.

Have you done any research on where you are going? Not just travel information but about their culture/history/issues?

Maybe glance at online newspapers or listen to some online Scottish radio.

Many of the locals are now Muslim economic refugees living free in hotels. One of them went on a stabbing spree recently.

Be who you are. Don't put on any pretence - the people you meet will see through it instantly; UK people dislike that. And in Glasgow they hate it and will react very negatively to a phony.
