What do you think of the passage by congress of the resolution to support Hong Kong protesters?

..i mean hong kong is part of china, thats like saying we're going to support a rebellion in china right? sounds iffy ...

Governments all over like to nose into other countries like this.  If they managed their own neck of the woods, all would be better.

When GB turned HK over to China, China agreed to 50 years of one country 2 systems, leaving Hong Kongers to maintain their own government without interference from Bejing for at least 50 years.  China has not honored that agreement, they didn't even make it half way.
In that regard congress is not supporting a rebellion as much as supporting the existing agreement as well as Hong Kongers established and existing government system.  Congress is opposing Chinese invasion and  breech of agreement.
