How do you stop shrinkage in afro curly hair?

My hair shrinks up about 6 or 7 inches & its super annoying, is there any products or anything I can use to stop this silly crap from going on

    I have 4a/4b natural hair, and you're going to have to stretch your hair using the band method. I do this with twist and it helps, but bare in mind that shrinkage means your hair is healthy enough to take in moisture. I would be concerned if it wasn't shrinking much.     There's stuff You can buy that's meant to bring volume to your hair, its like a spray, depending on where you live but idk if it's  Just for straight hair or not. You could maybe back comb it
