Can depression significantly affect the results of an IQ test?
I have a reputation amongst pretty much everyone who knows me for being pretty smart. I'm really not trying to brag, that's just the message I get from the external world. I had my IQ tested professionally once and the results were just a bit above average, but I was also right smack in the middle of a major depressive episode and feeling sickly that day. Could that have affected the results?

No it can’t.. it’s just when you’re super depressed sometimes your brain is disoriented or doesn’t have the same capacity to think as quick. But when depression is treated you’ll be the same again
