Does French Canada have any traditions?

I live in Montreal, and the only two traditions I know are claiming welfare and getting drunker and fatter than the Americans and English Canadians.

    Wow, then you haven't lived there long.  My experience was just the opposite. Of course, I can speak French and actually talk to people instead of hating them.
