I depart Los Angeles and I want to max the day I arrive and not interrupt working on Friday.  So I depart in the evening on Friday and arrive on Sunday morning.  Best for that kind of trip is in order EVA Air, Cathay Pacific and maybe China Airlines.  Last choice is Thai Airways, usually more expensive.  I book it so there is 2 hours or more between connecting flights in Taipei or Hong Kong. All 3 are about even when it comes to food and service.  China Airlines the past few years has been departing late and is only allowing about 90 minutes or 4-6 hours between flights which I do not care for.  There are cheaper airlines, China Eastern, China Southern and Air China and they stop in Beijing and have a so so record of being on time. So one hour or 90 minutes between flights does not work and their down time between flights gets bigger if you choose to wait, like 6 hours or more.  Good luck

In our recommended, Lion air is the cheap price. If you want to use business class then many airlines available for your trips. <a href="https://travelhos.com/best-places-to-visit-in-asia... Best Places to visit in Asia in October</a>

I have flown Thai many times with no issues.

  • It would depend on where you are coming from would be a nice thing to add.  I always travel BKK to JFK and back.  So I have a wide range of choices.   I like Emirates airlines because I do not want lots of stops and short periods of layovers.  With Emirate I have 1 stop each way and less than two-hour layover.  Which is great plus it takes about half an hour to get from one terminal to the other for the flight so that takes up the time too.
