Should I do throwing in track and field?
I am going to do track and field this year and I am not a very fast runner so I was wondering if throwing would be a good option. I lift weights frequently and I have a pretty good amount of muscle on my arms. Does anybody think this would be hard for me because I have never done it before? Just tell me if it s a good idea or not.

You won't know if you're "good" at it, until you try. It's 100% up to you to decide if you want to do it. It's not a good or bad idea, it's an OPTION you're free to try if you want to (even if you don't think you'd be good at it).

I dated a guy in high school who took track.
He had worked on building up his arms and was really good at the shot put and the javelin.
Perhaps the throwing is not for everyone but for people who can build strength.
