Does this person sound like a friend?

Question

How much would you care about someone to arrange to meet with them (travelling 40 minutes on the Underground to get there) and spend six hours with them - firstly having lunch with them and then visiting a museum with them? 
Do you think that the person who did this and met with me is a friend? 
(I have Aspergers, so struggle to interpret things socially)

Because I can't be sure what exactly you mean by "friend," I can't know whether this person is what mean by "friend." But there is evidence to support the idea that this person enjoys your company. It's very improbable that a person would make the long commute and spend an entire day with you if that person doesn't enjoy your company, therefore I reason that the person who did these things DOES enjoy your company.

I suggest you tell this person that you enjoyed the outing, that you appreciate the person making the long commute and being such a pleasant companion. You can tell the person this by phone, by email, by text. You can also tell the person this in other ways, ways I may not have thought to include in the list.

One of the nicest ways to say something like this is to send a short hand written note via the postal service. You can use plain paper, fancy paper, or a greeting card. Two to five sentences is the usual length for this kind of message.

yes!!!! they really like you and enjoy spending time with you! they went out of their way to hang out with you and to go through a lot to do it!

Everybody is different.
 The correct meaning of the word "friend" means you can trust them with your life, safely!  Not just say it and not know if it could be. 
Some people care for all others. Some people do what they can rot use and abuse others! Most are in-between these days! 
Maybe you would be willing to Pray to God about this? See if God wants you to have this info at this time.
