Should Tea Tree oil make you hair stiff?

I have been using Via Natural ( an off brand I got at Big Lots) for about 3 days, and while it does tame the fly aways and keep my hair nourished it is making my hair a bit stiff and sticky. Is this normal or is it because I am using an off brand?? Previous I was using OGX Argan oil and I really liked it, only got this cause it was like 2$. Maybe I should stick to my regular brand??

You shouldn't be putting tea tree oil in your hair unless you have dandruff. Maybe it was because it was cheap or not real tea tree oil, or you're not using it correctly. Some times you get what you pay for with hair products. You're also supposed to dilute tea tree oil if you're using it to treat dandruff. I've never put tea tree oil in my hair, coconut oil on occasion I've done that before. The only thing that made my hair sticky was Aphogee protein repair treatments. But after rinsing it out my hair feels better.
