What amp should I get for my car ?
So my stock amp recently burned out since I installed new aftermarket speakers And it couldn’t handle the power for my civic, and now I also got a hold of comp c 10 kicker woofers, speakers front and back are 360 watts and a the woofers are I believe either 600 or 800 watts, I’ve been looking at the kicker amp of 1200 watts, idk if that’s enough to fix my sound problem, last thing I need is another amp burning out

It would help if you'd not look at peak/max power ratings. They are meaningless marketing numbers. The rms ratings are the ones that matter. 10" comp C's are 250w rms. For a pair you'd want around 500w rms. Speakers -- four of them? I'm certain they're not actually 360w rms, but no way to know precisely what they are w/o brand/model info.
It sounds like a 5 channel might be your best option if you want to run everything with a single amp.
For cost effectiveness the Pioneer GM-D9705 is a good option.

Dear clueless. The power rating of the speakers had nothing to do with it, it is their impedance that matters . I'll bet my next paycheck that your new speakers are lower impedance (measured in ohms) than the amp that burned up could handle. Either that, or you wired a pair up to each channel of a two-channel amp or head unit so that the total impedance was too low. Proper impedance-matching is critical and poof goes the circuitry when it overheats because the impedance is wrong.
So tell us the brand and model of the dead amp, the brand and model of the new speakers and how they were wired up so we can be sure that was the problem. While you're at it, you need to tell us exactly which model of Kicker C10 subwoofers you purchased. We need to know that so we can check the power requirements and impedance specs allowing us to tell you which amp(s) to consider. They're either 4CWCS102's or 44CWCS104's.
