what is a karen?

The Karen are an ethnolinguistic group of Sino-Tibetan language-speaking ethnic groups.    They live primarily in South-Eastern Myanmar.

It's come to be used for angry, entitled white women who cough on store workers because they don't like being told to wear a mask. There's a new video of a Karen telling people to play "American music" and swearing at them in a park, to the embarrassment of her husband. It's too bad- I know some lovely women named Karen. 

Mad women who call the police on black people for reasons such as walking down the street or sitting in a park or having a barbecue or trying to get into a building.
