I got this car where you have to you have to press the brake pedal?

and the engine start button to turn the car on. I accidentally pressed the gas pedal and the engine start button at the same time to turn the car on and

the light came on saying press the brake. I then pressed the brake while at the same time pressing the engine start button.

After that the car turned on. So did I damage anything in the car by pressing the gas pedal instead of the brake while

pressing the engine start button?

You can't damage anything.  It's all electronic.

Nothing happens until you are pressing the brake and the start button - which allows the computer to start the car.

Read the owners manual. It will tell you that in order to start the car, this is what you do and no other way will it work.

So who are you going to believe , now there’s no comments?

The five that say , no damage or the one that says there is? He’s a loony right? Doesn’t know anything about cars. Or does he? Is he a qualified mechanic and the rest are just guessing? If you ignore his advice, it will cuts you big time.

    What a dilemma .

    Nothing is damaged.  Move on.

  • Drive immediately to your dealer and have your ECM and BCM(s) re-calibrated or you'll end up with your crankshaft going through the bottom of the motor..

Why the hell would you think that damaged anything?  If you had pushed the button without stepping on any pedals at all it would have "said" the same thing.

Of course not.  Car makers would not design a system that would damage anything when making that mistake.
