How can I get out of my own birthday party? ?

I am turning 16 next week. I don't like parties or having house guests, but my mom invited family and planned an event anyway, even though I asked her not to. I really wanted to spend the day enjoying some TV and eating my favorite meal. Is there any escape from this?

Tell her you are afraid of getting covid from the house guests. You shouldn't be having parties in a pandemic anyway, your mother should know better.
