In late 2022, we may be closer to a semblance of a new normalcy. Just remember we only shut down 55% of the country while successful countries shut down 95% of their country and longer than us. They also had a countrywide mask mandate and plan to attack the virus uniformly. We still have no nationwide plan and instead have a hodgepodge of 50 states doing their own plan as if people do not travel between states. Meaning, we are still spreading COVID like wildfire and the longer we keep spreading at such high numbers, the longer it will take to get under control. The vaccine does not immediately flip a switch as we still will need 6 months to get it to everyone, some wont take it, and it is expected to be only 50-75% effective, so we need proven theraputics aka meds that actually treat the virus not just help with symptoms. If Trump is releected, we will have 4 more years of the same thing. If he is not relected, we still have Nov 3(election)-Jan 23rd(inauguration) of the same non-plan coupled with Thanksgiving/Christmas gatherings and people in colder climates being indoors which spreads the virus faster. So, it will take a while to get things together. Dont hold ur breath for 2019 normal.
