Its because MORE people ARE GETTING TESTED..so of course the fricking numbers are gonna go "up" and it is getting colder so maybe that has an impact on people getting ill. Plus the governments well some maid bad choices/rules and that is also y o do with people getting ill.

Have a closer look at the (TV) news and news papers.... less than half the people wear masks.
