Can owning a long-haired cat bring you diseases?
My cat is a half-Persian and has pretty long hair. Could there be risks of getting some diseases related to breathing?

Only if you are allergic to cats or have asthma, and if you are then getting a long-haired cat, or perhaps any cat, was a mistake. Cats don't cause those problems, but they can aggravate them.
