    First, make sure it has really been hacked. That is rare. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN3516.html

    It is more likely some marketer is just spoofing your address. If people are getting spam messages that looks like your address, that is spoofing. If the receivers look, the message is really not coming from your account.

     If hacked, you need to try to recover it, but it can still be used to commit fraud/send spam in your name, by spoofing. Warn all contacts.
