Does taking a flex course affect financial aid?

Like taking a course that's half the time of taking a regular 16 week course. I was wondering because I know a certain amount of credit hours is needed in order to receive financial aid as a full time student, yet if I completed the flex course wouldn't my credit hours be updated to current credit hours im taking.

A half-semester course generally offers the same number of credit hours as taking that course during a full semester.  Some half-semester courses are intended to be worth fewer credits, but they ARE worth something.  So taking the course should add to your credit hours.
